NRG Engineering offers a comprehensive suite of services to the global oil and gas industry. We apply advanced technology to the solution of practical petroleum engineering problems. We pride ourselves on delivering responsive service with integrity--our reports have been submitted to all the major North American securities regulatory bodies and Canadian banks and have been used by several major brokerage firms for financings.

RESERVE AND PROPERTY EVALUATION

NRG has prepared annual reserve reports for numerous public and private companies. We have also prepared detailed evaluations, sometimes using simulation models and computerized log analysis, of most of the oil and gas fields in Canada. Our experience also extends abroad--to numerous fields in the United States, Nigeria, Indonesia, India, Russia and Trinidad. We draw from this comprehensive experience when we perform engineering, petrophysical and geological studies to evaluate the economics of:

producing properties and drilling prospects
the purchase of land
the acquisition of oil and gas companies.

PROPERTY AND CORPORATE ACQUISITIONS AND DIVESTITURES

NRG acts as an agent on behalf of both the seller and the buyer of oil and gas properties and companies. In this role, we provide the evaluation of the properties or company, seek the appropriate buyer or seller, coordinate the data room, advise our client regarding the fairness of offers and coordinate the sale to its closing. NRG acts as a retainer on an ongoing basis until a client has achieved the desired level of acquisitions and as the agent to sell a specific property. As a corporate objective, we maintain contacts throughout the industry so that we can carry out our role in acquisitions and divestitures effectively.

RESERVOIR ENGINEERING AND PROPERTY OPTIMIZATION

The staff of NRG has broad experience in solving reservoir engineering problems. We use state-of-the-art technology to:

optimize oil-producing properties by evaluating their performance under primary, secondary and tertiary recovery methods
develop gas-producing properties and gas storage operations by optimizing the number and location of wells, the size of the production string and the surface gathering network, the amount of compression and (in the case of gas storage) the amount of cushion gas.

RESERVOIR SIMULATION AND FEASIBILITY STUDIES

NRG's staff has extensive experience in the development and application of reservoir simulation models. We have developed or have access to:

a three-dimensional dry gas or gas-water simulation model with a single or multiphase surface network
a gas deliverability model with volumetric reservoir treatment
a radial gas model for well buildup or drawdown analysis
a multiphase coning model
a three-dimensional, three-phase black oil model
single and multiphase pipeline network models
log analysis software.

We also have a number of peripheral programs, including tools to analyse material balance, economics and Horner buildup with superposition.

NRG offers feasibility studies that range in depth from a quick analysis to an extensive study in such areas as:

field development
enhanced recovery
gas gathering
LPG and gas storage
sizing of pipelines and tubing strings
compression.

WELL TEST ANALYSIS

NRG has the necessary tools and experience to provide detailed analyses of pressure buildups, pressure drawdowns, flow tests, well interference tests and drillstem tests.

GOVERNMENT AND COURT REPRESENTATION

The staff of NRG offers expert technical representation before government agencies, government boards and court proceedings. We can provide the technical documentation needed for presentation and an assessment of the technical briefs of others.
